Advisory Board HOPE Gala Dresden

On Friday, the 26th of October 2012, the HOPE Gala Dresden – advisory board was founded.

The task of the group is to support the HOPE Gala in Dresden but also network in the area of Germany to find new supporters for the cause of HOPE Cape Town. 

As the guests of the Gala come from all over Germany this is reflected in the members of the group with working relations all over Germany.

The members are:

VIOLA KLEIN, together with her business partner Andreas Mönch, launched the Saxonia System GmbH in 1992. In 2006, Ms Klein organised the first HOPE Gala in lieu of HOPE Cape Town and since then supported the project with more than € 836.000.

, is a residing priest in the Archdiocese of Cape Town. He is one of the founder members of the HOPE Cape Town Association.  Since 2006 he continues his fight against HIV and AIDS as the chairperson of the HOPE Cape Town Trust.


PROF GEORG MILBRADT was elected as Premier of the Free State Saxonia on the 18th April 2002 and confirmed in office in 2004. In the years 2004 and 2005 he was awarded "Premier of the Year". On the 27th May 2008, Georg Milbradt resigned as Premier of the Free State Saxonia.


ANDREA BALLSCHUH is working as a German television and radio presenter. Currently, she presents the daily service and consumer programme "Volle Kanne" on ZDF, to which renowned guests are invited for breakfast daily. She also presents the hit show "Zauberwelt der Berge" on ZDF, as well as the weekly quiz "Quickie" and the "MDR-Hitparade" 4 times a year on ZDF.


THOMAS BOHN, managing director of Ventura Investment GmbH Dresden, is an entrepreneur with passion. As the founder of Saxocom and Saxoprint, he has proven that business success and commitment belong together! Regardless of whether member of the Supervisory Board of Dynamo Dresden since many years, or member of the advisory board of the HOPE-Gala: Thomas Bohn likes to use his network for a good cause!


ROCCO DAMM founded the Damm Rumpf Hering Investment Management together with Marco Rumpf and Lutz Hering in 1998. The company serves around 450 private customers and medium-sized companies in Saxonia and is approved as a financial portfolio manager by the Federal Agency for Financial Services in Germany.


ANNA SCHMIDT Anna Schmidt is one of our youngest team members at the Advisory Board. Her nationality is half Russian and half German and she moved to Germany as she was 8 years old. She studied industrial management and started to work in the international trade and business sector. After receiving the tri-national master in German, French and Russian she took over the international marketing and business development of “itelligence”.


ROLAND HESS, who grew up in a family of entrepreneurs, has been managing the gastronomy and catering part at the Dresden airport since 2005, he also has been organizing the fair of entrepreneurs in Dresden "Dresdner Weitsicht" since 2011. He runs the first online shop for canapés "die" and supports various social projects through the business platform "Benefizminute".


EINAR SKJERVEN grew up in Norway and did his MBA at the Norwegian School of Economics in 1990. Today, he is working as managing director of Industrifinans Holding GmbH located in Berlin, Frankfurt and Oslo. His company is specialized in asset management, fund management and investment management.


VIOLA SKJERVEN grew up in England. After her higher education entrance qualification at the German School of London she went to Frankfurt am Main, where she was trained as a bank clerk. After working for Commerzbank AG and Deutsche Lufthansa AG she finished training as automobile saleswoman at Mercedes-Benz. She is married to the Norwegian Fond-Manager Einar Skjerven.


GABRIELE STAHL is partner of the company Odgers Berndtson, based in Germany. As head of Industry Practice Consumer Products & Service she supports national and international brands in the food and non-food sector as well as a variety of business groups by filling in management positions
